Property Inspection Services
What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is an objective visual examination of the structure and systems of a home from the roof to the foundation. It is like giving the home a physical examination. It is not an appraisal to determine market value nor is it a municipal inspection to verify code compliance. The home inspection is the buyer’s best due diligence tool to determine the condition of the home and to approach the budgeting process when estimating any needed repairs.
The inspection is not a “pass or fail” test. We provide a detailed and objective professional report on the physical condition of the property, indicating needed repairs or replacement and providing suggestions for any visible conditions that might pose possible future problems.
Although our reports are detailed and also contain pictures, we strongly recommend that buyers attend the inspection. It is easier to discuss issues at the inspection than to find out about them for the first time when you get the report.
NOTE: Our Code of Ethics precludes any Edifice inspector from soliciting or referring other parties for any repair work.
